Hi all. I have a 99 Trophy 1200,I want to adjust the rear shock by way of the 10mm bolt under the seat,I assume this is done with both the bike wheels on the ground, can anyone tell me the setting for full luggage and a pillion. Thanks Gary.
If you look at the side of the adjuster there is a window with a marker, the adjustment goes from minimum at the top of the window to 5 max. See where yours is set now and adjust from there I would guess you will end up between 3 & 5 but where depends on the weight of yourself & passenger plus luggage and the state / age of the rear shock
Thanks grumpy,I may have a knackered shock as the needle does,nt seem to move, thats why I was wondering as to the method of doing the adjustment.
The stock suspension seems to come in for a lot of stick. https://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php?debug;topic=30741.0#.WzPF5NJKjcc https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/triumph/trophy-1200/2012/ Check this, https://www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk/services/manuals?bike=427d43c6-a22f-49ed-96b7-d73bb11ad95e https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1001824/Triumph-Trophy.html
