After clean, lube & adjustment of my drive chain I still get a rattle from it when braking/decelerating hard. The slack appears to be in spec. I haven't been able to clean the front sprocket as the cover appears to be held under another bracket holding some hoses. Has anyone taken off the front sprocket cover & does this other bracket need to be taken off as well ?

Sorry I dont know the answer to that question but when yiu get in to the sprocket see if there is rubber damping at base of the teeth on the sprocket. I know some triumphs have had noise after replacing front sprocket for non original aftermarket ones.
