    Hello everyone

I am Nick and I am from Georgia , little county near Russia ) in here there are no many st rs bikes. Also there is no official dealer.
One month ago I bought st rs 2018 bike via copart auction in USA. In the pictures I never saw the problem I am going to describe.
On keys it was not clear is it missing or not. Right now bike is at the shipyard parking in NJ. The company that bought it for me have sent new pictures, and now I see that the key is missing and the ignition switch is missing aswell.
I want to know , what problems will I face when the bike will finally arrive in Georgia. Does US triumphs come with factory fitted immobilizer? Do I have to buy any other thing rather then key and switch.

    Thank you very much.

Hi nick. Is this a speed triple rs or a street triple rs?
I have a speed rs and I only have one big key and 3 “normal “ keys.....
The bike is keyless and could be why you do not see a key barrel. You only have to have the (big) key nearby for it to start. It could be in your pocket etc.
The metal part of the key is for the tank and the seat.
The other keys will work in a certain place in case your main key is defective/loses power etc.

Hi Nick & Welcome to the Forum.

The Street RS I am pretty sure has a sensor in the key which deactivates an on board immobilizer, looks like the barrel/lock for the ignition is missing, so will need to buy a new ignition lock & keys, the key also releases the rear seat so the lock for that will need changing too. Don't know if this has to be done by a dealer so that the key can be matched to immobilizer?

It definitely does look likes there’s no key barrel in it. I took the pic from the net below and it seems like it isn’t there.

    Hi, thanks.

For the rear seat I can make another key in Georgia, it is not a big deal. But for ignition I need to code new key and lock. But, sad story is that here we don not have dealership. Found local guy (Rider) who said that he did the same with his S1000RR he have sent an ECU to Netherlands and they programed the key and lock. I think this is the only option right now for me. I was just curious if every model has immobilizer, because usually bikes from USA don't have it.

Not 100% sure on immobilizer for US models, maybe try on a few other Triumph forums like Triumph rat that have more American subscribers to see if owners over there know?

H Nick, Welcome. If possible, why don't you get the work done by a dealer in the USA before shipment?
