Last night I attended the Triumph Bonneville Icons Tour that was showing the new 2019 models. This was hosted by Motorcycles of Dulles (Virginia, USA). The new Speed Twin was awesome, but a little more aggressive and too little lighting for the riding in the DC Metro area. Highly tuned Thruxton motor and lower weight with the comfort of the T120. Also showed the new 1200 Scrambler XC & XE models as well as the updated Bonneville and Scrambler 900s. And I finally pulled the trigger on the competition green T120 Bonneville. Working the paperwork today and will pick up later this week. I'm going to love this bike, but it is still crated in the back of the dealer. Pics when I get it.
I thought about going to that event, but I had just heard about it on Friday. I’m hoping the weather holds out this Saturday, so I can do a couple of test rides. So far, I’m very impressed with that dealership.
What was interesting is that I had been working with my local dealer in MD as well as Dulles Cycles. I went due to the notification from Dulles, but I saw that Fredericktown Triumph was there as well. A bit awkward. LOL
Ah, I thought it was just Dulles. I’ve only been to the Frederick dealership’s website. So, which do you prefer?
I think Dulles is probably better overall. They were better to respond to me via email. Fredericktown are nice people and the deal was very similar on a T120, but I have to question the lack of growth in the dealership that has been there for so long. It's very small. I think Dulles has better money behind it to be more stable. Mostly subjective, no real experience.
