Hi all, newbie on the forum looking for advice on my 2003 Triumph Bonneville America, on my way to the petrol station i ran out of fuel, since then i have been unable to start the bike, checked the fuel tank filter, I have cleaned the carburettors, replaced the jets, replaced the needle valves, reset the float assembly height to to 17mm, with no joy, both both spark plug appear to be ok. I have contacted my local repair workshop & they can't fit my Triumph in until the 28th of June..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Regards Alistair

Have you tried some easystart? If it runs briefly that would show if its a fuel problem.

If it was running fine before you ran out of fuel the chances are that the crap in the bottom of the tank has caused a blockage. Have you checked that fuel is coming through the petrol pipes? Is there a prime function on your fuel tap, carbs may need priming?
