    Hello,

the T100 cafe racer's coming along and I'm just about to fit the pistons. They're 9:1 squish band pistons +40 thou. The problem is that both valve pockets look the same size and there's no arrow to show which way they go in. Is there an easy way to check?

    Cheers, MikeJ

Are there no marks inside on the skirt or the top? and are they new? or used? if new contact the makers.

Hello, thanks for the reply. They're second hand but good condition. They have marks for AE (Hepolite?) inside but I can't find any marks as to direction.

    Cheers, MikeJ

Generally speaking if they are not marked and the valve cutouts are the same its shouldn't matter which way around they go....unless they have been previously used, in which case they should have been marked on disassembly, but as they have been used in another motor its not going to make much difference.
