Custom seat. Raised at the front, to help prevent the boys getting pushed against the tank, lowered and more comfy Anyone looking for a Triumph Gel Seat?
Change of plan. After spending far too much time talking to other residents in the underground car park, I realised I was going to run out of time, so fitted the new battery instead.
Speed Triple top yoke, risers & Renthal bars (think they're 758s, need to check). Doesn't touch the fairing after careful commissioning and no MOT problems.
Colder Quick-release Fuel Line Couplers Triumph should have used a part like these in the first place. Both sides self-sealing: no more fuel leakage when you remove the tank Removed in-fill panels and lifted seat end of tank up. Drained fuel from lines, removed old connectors and fitted the Colders. Parts supplied were both 1/4". From memory, I think one should have been 3/8" as the OEM metal clip wouldn't fit. Cable ties to the rescue. OCD wobble. Tank-side connectors wrapped with PTFE ready to go on. Removed tank. Sprayed crappy OEM plastic tank-side connectors with WD40. Waited a few minutes, then carefully removed using a pair of pipe grips. Fortunately they came out minus any drama. Phew!! Cleaned threads then carefully fitted tank-side connectors using pipe grips. My OCD kicked in when I couldn't get the quick release mechanisms to line up. No more fuel leakage. Buy that man a beer or three. Site keeps adding full size images. I delete them and they keep returning!!
