To my mind the Trident was grown and nurtured in the fugly tree which it then fell out of, hitting almost every branch on the way down and when it was rescued it was never repaired, just put on the market as it was. Seems to be a decent bike to ride though. And the back end of the Rocket 3 was fashioned in the same way although the rest of it is VERY appealing!!
Personally, I didn’t really like the previous rocket but the new 3 looks very sweet to me. The bike is simply marmite I suppose! The trident is placed well at it's intended market I think but i'm not sure on the styling of the tank for some reason. My eyes get drawn to that big logo on the tank (an option apparently) and that puts me off.
I agree with all the above, apart from the back end of the R3. I could take or leave the original R3 - could never quite decide if I liked it or not. A test ride would no doubt have had me drooling all over it though!!
