I am about to buy 2016 Tiger 800 XCA with 1425 miles on it. The seller tells me the traction control light is on when he starts it up, and stays on for a little while when riding, then goes off. Is this normal? he said he will have it checked by the dealer where he bought it. I am only concerned that this might be a more serious problem. Anyone know anything about this?
    Thanks for any info.

Hi Enrique, are you sure the light which is on is the Traction Control light? I only ask this because the ABS light comes on as soon as you switch the ignition on, it will stay on for a few seconds even with the engine running and the bike moving.

Hi. Traction control light does come on when first starting. And the light should go off once the bike begins to move above 5 mph. If the light stays on there’s a problem.
