Any suggestions how to mount a Tomtom 400 on a 955i Daytona? I have the RAM universal ball mount

Should have said I’ve tried bolting the mount to the fairing frame but it obscures the instruments, so I’m thinking about drilling mounting holes in an old screen and dangling it from there.......

You’ll have to make sure the mounting point is fairly solid or you’ll get loads of vibration. I don’t know what goes on under your clocks but solved my problem by doing this on my 800 tiger using the screen mount

I think the set up in regards to handlebars is quite similar to a VFR and I mounted my Tom Tom on the left fork top yolk removing the original bolt and using a longer one in its place. Make sure everything is clear as you turn from lock to lock and the instruments should still be visible.

Thanks for the suggestions, my screen idea won’t work as it flexes.....
There’s not enough space in the Daytona cockpit :( Not sure about mounting it on the fork top - the only bolt there is also an adjuster so would have to take thickness of a mount into account when setting suspension.
At the moment it looks as though I’ll be taping a printed map to the tank! Or I put the Tomtom in the top of my tank bag which I hadn’t planned to use.

I was meaning the yolk clamp bolt not the adjuster, do you want me to post a pic of the one I mean?

This is how I mounted mine on the speed triple using the clutch lever bolt

Alternatively this is the bolt on the top yolk I was referring to

It depends on what type of ram mount you have but these are a couple of options.

Hi Andy, only just seen this.
There’s a guy who does mounts for the top yoke nut. Basically just drill and tap it then screw in a Ram ball. http://www.telferizer.com/
I bought a spare nut to do it myself but have never got around to it.

Thanks! Will see if there are top yoke nuts to be had - I think there was quite a variance across model years

What year is yours? I think up to 2001 they were all the same, like mine below.

Mine is the 2001/02 DSSA model - your nut looks the same, 42mm diameter. Will have a look at that website
