Picking up my new RS today. Sat in the dealers as I type while they faff about doing the last minute stuff.

Running in should be quick as I’m off to Norwich tomorrow on it from Exeter and back home Friday and Saturday. Got to find a wiggly route so will be a long day in the saddle tomorrow, can’t wait.

Pics to follow when I get it home.

Getting it from Bridge? (wife got her nearly new Street675 from there, good service from them)
    Enjoy the ride! :)
Should be able to get the 600ml service in on your way back!

There should be a sticker on the tank explaining. If not:

During the first 500 miles (800 kilometres):
    • Do not use full throttle.
    • Avoid high engine speeds at all times.
    • Avoid riding at one constant engine speed, whether fast or slow, for a long period of time.
    • Avoid aggressive starts, stops, and rapid accelerations, except in an emergency.
    • Do not ride at speeds greater than 3/4 of maximum engine speed.
    From 500 to 1000 miles
    • Engine speed can gradually be increased to the rev limit for short periods.
    From 1000 miles to infinity
    • Do not piss around - have loads of fun.

Riding in instructions on tank bud.

    0-500 miles don' exceed 3.500 rpm...... equals 52 mph in 6th :tired_face::tired_face:

A few miles of patient riding will be worth the short wait until you can open her up, enjoy your shiny new steed :grinning:

Congratulations! I picked up a pearl white RS 10 days ago and still can't stop grinning. I take every back road route possible so that I don't regret not being able to open it up. Enjoy!

Ok first job done. Fit Kriega securing loops. US 20 lt tailpack, plenty of room for me for weekend if not packing waterproofs! What can possibly go wrong!

Jesus Norwich is a long way away from Exeter!!

Left at 8am, arrived at 17.30. That was using A roads and dual carriageway. I was worried about being able to do a long day in the saddle but arrived relatively fresh. Mileage now 370 so can use up to 6k rpm which is good for about 85 in sixth. 20 ltr Kreiga tail pack can fit a lot in actually. I nearly went for the 30 ltr but glad I didn’t.
