i took the opportunity to run another 160 miles onto the bike today. A run out to Stonehaven from Dundee, returning via Auchenblae, Edzell and Brechin! I was supposed to go out with the old man, but got to his house In Arbroath to find his battery had given up the ghost So unfortunately he had to stay at home today! First 40 miles were at 3500 or less so decided to get them out of the way before meeting up with the others! I think I annoyed a van driver a bit having made him sit behind me at 57mph only to take off after about 8 miles or so once I was allowed to give the bike a bit more rein! I have to say 220miles into this bike and it is incredible how at home I feel! Another 80 miles I get a further 1000rpm and looking forward to it! Heated grips are on order courtesy of the missus. All in all a good day - large latte, a piece of millionaires shortbread and a cracking day to go out ( slightly cold though). Working on the chicken strips slowly but surely, Anyway 3 triumphs out today (pics attached).
i had a wee run to St Andrews today, couldn't understand why the roads were so busy..until i remembered it was Easter Sunday
Hello, started tracking my 2018 Street Triple RS and have a issue with quick shift to 4th. It will not stay in 4th and go down to 3rd. while quick shifting. Has anyone have this issue? I was told that it is not warranted. When applying excessive load for a track use this can be a issue. Dealer ship where I purchased the bike told me that the spring is very weak and need a stiffer spring for detent. Factory pro shift may have this part, around $160.00 and 2hrs. of labor. This bike is supposed to be a track weapon! Has anyone else run into this issue? This only happens 4-5 times a day at the track. Forgot to mention that this is a fantastic bike to ride and own, except for this issue.
Hi, I have not put mine on the track but have never had an issue on the road, not heard anyone else with same problem, post your question again on the Street Triple thread as you will get more response there. Thanks Billy
