Hi everyone, I've just picked up a tomtom rider to go on my 2005 tiger 955i. Has anyone got any advice on installation? Where is the best place to Take a feed for the charge wire? And has anyone got any recommendations on where to mount it? I don't want to bar mount it and make it difficult to access ignition key or not be able to see gauges, has anyone got pictures of where you have mounted your satnav?

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance Rich

Hi Rich, any reason why you don't just plug it into the accessory socket down the lhs of the bike? If you use a bars mount put on the lhs you'll still have plenty of room for keys in the ignition.

No reason for not using the auxiliary socket really mate, just figured I'd hard wire it in and permanently have the bracket on the bike.

I was able to fix my handle bar mount onto the screen mount on my 800 so it's above the clocks but I don't think you have
Any room there. The handle bar mount means taking your eyes off the road for too long in my opinion so to get it higher up is a bonus. Maybe there is a goal post style bracket you can get for the handle bars?

I wired mine into the rear light as it comes on with ignition.
You could try a headlight, mine has led day lights or dipped beam so not 100% consistent feed
The accessory socket on mine is live with ignition off

Mines fitted on the handlebars and is ok, better with intercom sound.
Picking up a Tiger Sport soon and want to mount above clocks, be good to see a pic of your mount Crispey, and did you make it or buy it?

Here's the link to the thread. Trouble is I'm not sure if you will have enough space or anything to attach it too. I have mine attached directly to the battery but am probably going to join it to the rear light wiring

It was really straight forward, basically found an ignition live and an earth, soldered the wiring direct with an inline fuse.

Bought this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381323600168?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT and bolted it to the back side of the nose cone above the clocks.

Bought and bolted this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381320335031?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT to the back of my tomtom.

Connected them together with this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121697040445?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT.

Job Done, took me 45 mins max.
