    Ok it’s stupid question time.
Just looking at the manual for the 660 sport and to check the oil they say to run the engine for 5 mins on idle, switch off and leave for min of 3 mins.
They then say unscrew the dipstick and check the oil.
Now that is fine but they then state, do not use the side stand but have the bike upright.
Well considering this model doesn’t have a centre stand!!!!!!!
Now I do have a paddock stand for the rear but not for the front and using just one stand means the bike will be leaning forward.
Does anyone know if this matters?
I think somehow this has got posted in the wrong section.
Unfortunately I don’t seem to be able to either delete or place in the correct section.

Hi Rodders1949, all you need to do is make sure the machine is on level ground, then sit on the machine and reach down to unscrew the dipstick, wipe clean re fit and check again, it is as simple as that.

It was not a silly question at all from my point of view and enjoy your machine (when the weather picks up)
