Hey guys, i m completing my Tiger 2012 engine rebuild-upgrade (forged pistons, compression increase, head tuning etc) and i m thinking of using a lithium battery. The stock battery is out of the game since the first year i own the bike. I m using a ttz14s yuasa with 230cca. But now i m curious about a lithium battery of 300cca. What i wanna know is if a battery that powerful can cause damage on the engine starter? I couldn't find more information about that.

Hi Pados and welcome,The starter along with all the other electronics will only draw as much current as they need so using a higher capacity or higher amperage battery will do no harm at all so long as its the correct voltage....the only thing that would worry me is using lithium ion battery just make sure its a good known make.
