Hi there to all you Thunderbird owners. Thoughts and experiences please on whether the Thunderbird, especially the LT, on its suitability for daily commuting and town traffic and lane splitting or is it simply too heavy for that. Also reliability and all weather riding? Thank you.

    Hi mate

I saw an article on MCN website about commuting on the LT daily and all was good, especially threading through gaps, watch those panniers though

I own a storm which is a tad lighter and dont have too many problems threading through traffic, and the handlebars are wider than the LT I guess.

Torque of the engine and low slung weight help you here. I have often pulled away in second no problem. Light clutch helps too.

    Go and try one out

    Cheers Pete
