I recently purchased Thruxton RS FE (2025) and ım loving it. its my first triumph and I am not very familiar with the brand but I always wanted to have a thruxton.
I already have taid tidy and led conversion kit on my bike and added Vance & hines exhaust. I have been thinking to have decat but it sounds so nice at the moment that i dont have any reason to play around with it.

however, I would like to apply airbox removal to have more clean look below the saddle. I have searched in google but couldnt find anything specific to RS model. do you know if airbox removal applicable for 2025 RS, or if one of the earlier version works as usual.

    thanks

Any downside to airbox removal? Can't help thinking this has got to be a bad idea even if it looks good. If Triumph didn't think the bike needed it they could have saved a fortune in design and manufacture etc. This not the same as a tail tidy this is about the engine. Either way I hope you continue to enjoy your bike, thats why we do this.

well many cars also use airboxes but people who can upgrade to open air filter do it. i havent heard anybody having problem with engines moving from airbox to open air filter in general.

only thing i can think of is the euro5 and engine sensors

I’m looking for the same. It looks like there’s an Aussie company that makes an airbox delete for the post 2016 1200 Thruxton, but it doesn’t have the rear wheel guard on it, which is a bit of a deal breaker for me.
I don’t think it’s necessarily a case that it’s a bad idea or Triumph would have omitted it themselves. It’s more that manufacturers have ever increasing hoops to jump through and regs to meet. Left unchecked I’ve no doubt that it maybe detrimental to the running of the bike, but with some tuning/remapping by a competent person it should be fine.

If you do happen to find a suitable kit please let me know. I’d love to get some pod filters on mine.
