Hey Guys, been searching the inter web for the answer but can’t seem to find anything. have a local set of Thruxton R rims with the Corsas (took off at 1000km so like new) at an incredible price. I know the differences in sizing (17 front and profile differences, and the wider rear). what I’m hoping to find out is if these would be a direct fit?
Just a theory, if it were me, I check the distance the chain runs along the Bonnie's original wheel.. Are the swing arms the same part number, what size tyre goes on the alloy wheel.? Best get a Thruxton next to yours and measure the difference. Obviously when you are able to. Looking at the spec again, you would require more than a 5mm gap for the chain, as the tyre widths are 10mm difference The front could be more of an issue, again being a 17" but again what foks are fitted to the standard Thruxton?
thanks for the reply, I’ll give it a measure to see what the difference is. from what I’ve heard it’s doable but would require some fitting up front. Also, pet clearance, fender gap, etc... don’t think it will be worth it in the end.
I think it's what you pay for the wheels to whether it's worth it. For the right money if they don't work out, then flog them on!
