Thruxton R Rear Brake Pad Replacement

    getting close to time for replacing rear brake pads on the Thruxton R (Brembo). Any done this yet? I’ve done pad changes before. Anything different and/or tips would be good to know. thanks.
    hold on. ***? for the life of me, cant figure how the rear caliper is held on. The pad retaining pins are obvious. where are the bolt(s) that attach the caliper to the carrier. this is weird. HELP.

    yes. i just found a shop manual on line. rear wheel has to be removed. thats nuts. arrrrrrr

    Yep - that's what the Haynes manual says as well. What a monumental PITA! Good reason to lay off the brake pedal...

    Mind you, taking the rear wheel off isn't that difficult...

    They generally slide off of a square extrusion on the swing arm these days. it so it floats with the wheel for if the chain length Changes and so on
