Looking for a quality exhaust system for my 2020 Thruxton RS. Not interested in slip ons and cost isn't a major concern. I'd like get some weight savings and good sound. If it makes more power, then great. Pix, videos, links etc would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
One of the best sounding bikes I ever had was a thruxton R. With mods to the standard exhaust. A de-cat X pipe. The Vance and Hines EU spec silencers with a 30mm hole drilled through the baffle plate. And remove the intake snorkel. That combination was the best sound ever. It had real character. A raw angry metallic roar. It was beautiful. Under acceleration was orgasmic, then the overrun was the icing on the cake listening to it gurgling and popping. It made you spend your rides gunning it then chopping it. Your cat has the pipes welded to it but with a bit of cutting and welding, its easy enough to fit the X pipe. I just done one to a bonneville, see here... https://triumphmotorcycleforum.com/t/t100-decat/902
Jekyll and Hyde…! If money were no problem that’s what I’d go for! https://www.jekillandhyde.com/en/brands/triumph-exhaust/triumph-thruxton
Bear in mind a new full system would likely mean doing away with the balance pipes, which could rob you of some low end grunt.
That's the worst site I've ever seen. The configurator doesn't work. They don't even list an option for my 2020 RS. Sheesh! No prices, nothing. How much do these things cost?
I'd recommend buying a set of Arrow headers and a pair of Cone Engineering mufflers. I have the Cones on my bike and think they sound quite nice, even with the cat still in. "Tight" and deep. The Arrows are on their way, and I can't wait.....
