I have a 13 plate Explorer and I NEVER off road with this bike ( wouldn't be able to pick it up if it went over) so thinking of changing the Adventure tyres (on when I purchased the bike) to road tyres, specifically the Pilot Road 4's. Any one have any experience with these or any of the Pilot Road series tyres?

PR4 or Road 5s will transform the bike. I have used both on my bikes.

Road 5's (never tried them) or Metzeler roadtec 01's or Avon trailrider
Tried the Avon's and really liked them, good in the wet.
Tried the Metzeler's but got rid of the bike soon after having them fitted, but what I tried of them they seemed good.

You could always buy a proper road bike, they usually come with the correct tyres! ;):yum

Had PR4's on my Bandit and got them on my Tracer. Very happy with them especially in the wet.
