I used to work with a lass called Pat way back in the '70s who married Norman Shepherd, who, with his brother Rob, used to compete there. They were good friends of the Lampkin family of similar trials riding tendencies . Eee, those were t' days!
That really is one tough event to ride and complete. Never competed in the event myself but I knew a few that used to.
Decent weather for the first day,and the rest of the week is looking not too bad,might have a run up to Fort William on wednesday
