Morning trip to Maxwell Game reserve (58 miles away). 60 degrees F. and overcast Was strongly advised not to ride through as the bulls were in "rut" mode and could charge at anything. These are very dangerous highly unpredictable animals even though they don't look like it. They can charge at 40 mph, and jump 6 vertical feet (that's why the fence is 8 feet tall). Normal bulls can weigh up to 2000 lbs. Sunrise image at Maxwell off of the internet. Ended the trip back home at the Keeper of the Plains Statue.
That is an impressive building in the background, where is that? Oh and the bike looks good as well..
That is the Union Inn in Saltash Cornwall. Good venue for music and a real old spit and sawdust pub inside
Yesterday was dry for a change, and 15*C, so took the bike off the stand and went for a quick 45 mile ride to Harry's Drive In for a burger. They just opened for the season
Was able to get out this past Sunday, with my son and granddaughter (14yrs. old). We aren't in full lock-down yet, so we decided to escape reality for awhile. Our ride was about 175 miles into the neighboring state of Rhode Island. Jamestown Island to be precise. The state beaches there are closed and we were turned away, not that we were there for a swim. Traffic was generally light, so the backroads provided some nice riding. Sorry to hear about the Prime Minister. Hope he gets out of hospital okay.
Some non-essential travel on a beautiful day!! Took a spin around the State today with the son and granddaughter. With temps in the mid 60's, and sunny, it made for an enjoyable day. The pics are at the Barkhampsted reservoir, which is the major source of water for the majority of the State. If you enlarge some of the pics, you'll notice a Norton parked across the street. He and I had the only Brit bikes to be seen. The rest were Harleys, some Ducati's, and Sport bikes of various kinds. The last pic is the ubiquitous reason why I'm here
