Hi all is anybody else attending this year's oddballs rally in Wem Shropshire this year Friday 26th to Sunday 28th September I'm going for the first rally in 20 years the last I did was the farmyard in Yorkshire had a great time I'm going to the oddballs with my brother who is coming over from Ireland with around 15 or so riders from a couple of Irish club members including some of the the RIF RAF lads haven't seen much of him since he moved over there in April so it will be a good chance to catch up have a few sherbets and have some laughs with a lot of like minded peeps also live bands Friday night and Saturday night should be a good weekend hopefully it will stay dry as being in a tent isn't the best I've ordered a new air bed with built in pump just got to sort out the tent I bought back earlier in the summer make sure it's all there before going or it will just be a waterproof cover for my sleeping bag and although got the proper triumph top box having to use throw over panniers if I can attach them safely without fouling in the wheel I've got some unofficial universal rails but I don't know yet if they will fit properly on the Tiger
If you are going see you there and please introduce yourself you will know me by the noise of the Irish :p

Just a few pictures of the forementioned rally not the best first one the handsome fella me on my own freezing in a leaking tent which I left there as no intention of using that again a couple of the camp site view from my tent and one of the entertainment beer tent at night the two groups on were ok but the best bit was the ride to and from the event the ride home obviously the best as it was in the direction of a warm shower and a proper bed better tent and a cot next time oh and realised I'd picked up a junior sleeping bag from home so that didn't make for a warm comfortable sleep either :worried:

Sounds like a good, if chilly, weekend was had :p Not a fan of dumping tents etc at the end of a festival/rally for others to deal with though. Either dispose of it on site if there are the facilities or take back and dispose of at home, it's the individuals responsibility not the organisers. Take only memories, leave only footprints

Oh it went in the skip you misunderstood my statement it was quite satisfying to be honest as it did me no favours luckily the organisers supplied a bin bag in the welcome pack (an envelope with welcome letter wristband and bin bag) which was welcome on the Saturday night with the rain as it was opened up to cover my already damp sleeping bag
It was a good weekend all things said went into wem on the Saturday afternoon had a good meal in a joules pub a local taxi company had a service laid on all day back and forwards to the site which was great the bikes could stay put and a few pints of Guinness could be enjoyed after the Irish crew I was with gave the bar workers a quick guide to pouring the black stuff properly
And as you can see from my attachment I'm in total agreement with your statement being a keen angler the majority of us follow these rules
