The Bonnie Mod's Start....

Been picking up a few bits and getting together the stuff I need to get the Bonnie how I want it.
And now I've worked out how to get the Bonnie on the lift, I've made a start on them.

 

First one was easy, add a locking fuel cap

 

Next was the single seat and rack

 

then add the rev counter and relocate the ignition switch to a more useful place.

Fairly straight forward although the wiring was a bit tight!

 

Next remove the Arrow 2:1 and replace with std down pipes and TOR pipes.

 

While doing the pipes, a quick look at the exhaust ports would seem to indicate it's running a bit rich !

 

While doing the downpipes, it seemed like a good time to do the CO2 removal kit.

Bung fitted and resistors plugged in.

 

I also thought it was a good time to fit the centre stand while the pipes were off.

 

Got to pick up a spacer for the centre stand tomorrow and a new exhaust clamp as one of the original ones had a stripped thread.
But it's getting there.....

 

One thing I'm not keen on and will change was the bung to cover the old ignition switch hole.
It looks like a flipping condom or sommat!

 

The previous owner had obviously had something that flapped on the ignition key, there's a mark on the headlight mount on that side, so I was going to look at alternative shrouds.
I did get a relocation bracket and a set of smaller front indicators in the box of bits that came with the bike.
I'll probably go for some that are black still as, other than the tank, most of the bike is black.
I also need to find some rear indicators to match what will be the new front ones.

 

I ended up having to reroute the clock cables outside the guide bracket and even then they were tight, but it was worth it.
I found the headlight mounted ignition a pain on the other half's Bonnie....
