My local bike shop just had a 2003 K3 GSXR1000 in for a part ex I'm quite friendly with the guys in there so he said go and take it out for half hour Start off it has a moto GP exhaust on which is so loud it's untrue, however I quite like a loud nice. The first thing I notice was just how wooden the brakes felt, didn't seem to slow you up anywhere near as quick as my Triumph. Second thing was the extreme riding position, legs hooked right up and properly lent over, wasn't keen on this Thirdly, bike felt very wide compared to my baby 600 It handled very well but I now realise just how quick a 1000cc is, it was like a missile, I realise this had been played with and was running a mapped ecu, GP pipe but let's just say 0-licence losing speed was scary I looked down expecting to see 70ish Mph, lets just say it was nowhere near it, Overall Nice bike, not keen on riding position, not keen on paint scheme, however speed and handling were awesome.
Mate of mine has a gsxr 750 and a cbr 1000 rr, I can borrow them when I want, but dont. I dont like sitting on them. The 750 handles great and even though its got a few years on it, is still a good fast bike. The seating position just breaks my back and wrists ache like fuck. Not a fun bike to ride... Cbr is even more cramped, just cant be assed with them..... But good bikes in their own right... One of the reasons I sold my old cafe racer was because of the seating position, just too cramped...
