Hi, I am just attempting to fit the preload adjuster and progressive spring kit for my Speed twin from Tec. The kit comes with two sets of shims, one set which was attached to the instructions and another pair of shims within the same packaging as the adjusters. The shims with the adjusters fit the fork tubes no problem but the others are 2mm larger outer diameter and only seat to the bottom of the threads? It is my understanding that the sequence is spring, shim, black spacer tube, shim, then finally the preload adjuster? But with the larger shims that simply will not work as they wouldn't allow for any preload adjustment as they have no movement within the fork tube, anyone got any ideas please, im stumped?
