    Hello travellers
I am planning the route for a mixed convoy of Ambulances and Bikes from Europe to The Gambia for a charity based in the UK.
The plan is 25 second hand ambulances sourced by a mix of donations and purchases in Europe escorted by motorbike outriders in groups of around six or eight.
All to be assembled in Algeciras before crossing to Tangier and splitting into groups, each led and followed by outriders.
What I need from you...any up to date information on the coastal route, mainly fuel and border crossings and any other relevant comments.
    Date is mid March 2022

Good luck but your explanation is a bit vague mate.
    Which costal route?
Europe is big, where is your start point?
Do you have a route plan and itinerary?
What info do you need ref fuel and borders? (Fuel location, cost, type, abundance? Borders, visas, paperwork, etc)
Fingers crossed for you bud but hopefully you'll get more relevant answers with a more specific brief ;)

The coastal route from Algeciras via Larache, Casablanca, Essaouria, Tan Tan, into Western Sahara, Laayoune, into Mauritania, Nouakchott, into Senegal via the border at Diama on to Karang, into The Gambia.

I have youtube info but most is a few years old, fuel stops seem to be frequent enough for diesel and we can carry spare petrol as this seems a bit sparse.
Another person is organising the paperwork, and another the personnel.
Responsibility for the volunteers getting to Algeciras is with them as crossing Europe is fairly easy as I have found.
Exchange rates will be sorted nearer the start time as will covid restrictions (if any by then!)

A massive undertaking mate and I most definitely wish you all the best with it. Good luck and fingers crossed for you all
Unfortunately my last experience of helping to organise a round the world trip was 2003 and was aviation based so not much help to you ;)

I wish you every luck with your trip. I’m sure it will be a real experience, but a very challenging one.
