Hi Can anyone tell me if you can recalibrate the tacho on a 2000 Speed Triple? The issue is when wired up to Tube ECU it reads 1200 rpm (and sounds like it) but the bike tacho reads 1500. Any ideas? Cheers
If it is the old analogue type it converts spark pulses to a small voltage that energises the needle. If it is inaccurate there is nothing to adjust without sending it to an instrument specialist at no small cost. Your options are ignore, replace with OEM item (fleabay!) or fit a pattern replacement. The new digital types are cheap enough and inherently more accurate.
