    Hi all,

I am trying to remove the top yoke on my bike, I have loosened the pinch bolts, removed the bolts attaching the handlebars to the yoke and removed the main nut in the middle.

The yoke will move about 2mm then just stop. I have tried tapping with a plastic mallet (Gently) but it won't budge.
    Can anyone help....

Have i missed something or is it just a case of keep trying...

    Many thanks in advance

There should be nothing else to stop removal ........ but .........
If you still have the fork legs fitted it could just be tight, but just check that the fork caps dont over-hang the fork tubes and stop the yoke lifting further, you may be better to drop the fork legs out first.

There maybe a lip of corrosion and dirt between top of the yoke and stations, feed the legs up a bit by loosening lower clamps one leg at a time and clean if ring of said build up is found, should then pull off easily once properly loosened.
