    As the nights have drawn in I have ended up riding in the dark a couple of times recently, not something I do a lot of these days.

    On both occasions I was appalled at how rubbish the headlight on my T100 is. On the first occasion I was in a built up area and with the street lighting you can see almost as well as in daylight but when I got out of town into the countryside and relying on the headlight it was a different matter.

    Obviously an easy fix like a straight bulb swap would be good.

    What headlight upgrade do people tend to go for to improve the headlight?

    Hi Mr Toad here's a few thoughts from abroad :

    1. Change the H4 bulb for something Std. wattage (so no overheat problems) but better quality. Great options from Osram and philips;

    2. Go for a Xenon bulb replacement. Not strictly legal and alignment needs to be good (so as reduce to a minimum glare for oncoming traffic), but a big improvement ;

    3. My preferred option - install a pair a LED driving lamps. They are low wattage but high output, very compact so don't change the look to much, but really improves the longer distance view.

    See Diligaf's thread on lights.

    I'm going to fit a pair of LED driving lights to my Honda, they are in keeping with the type and style. However, I'm not keen on fitting a pair to the Bonneville as they don't really fit with the look I'm going for.

    I think I'll go for the replacement bulb option, I might even go for the Xenon bulb.
