I have a 2012 T,Bird 1600 and I am considering fitting genuine Truimph leather panniers but, I already have the OE Sissy Bar fitted and many fitting kits state that their product is not comparable if the bike already has the sissy bar. Any help/advice would be appreciated
Hi Had this set up on my Thunderbird, never had any problems with it, you may need some adapters but Triumph should still list them. All kit I had was genuine Triumph.
Can confirm that trjumph leather panniers and sissy bar work together as i had that setup on my 2015 thunderbird storm 1700. Dont know if the fixings changed between yours an mine though . My thunderbird has now gone but i still have the accessories for sale (incliding panniers and brackets if you're interested). No idea where you are, but if close you could come round and try.
