    hi
new to the forums and my first post so hi to everyone.

I,m rebuilding a 2005 speedmaster after last owner let it rust then rattle canned it flat black over the top.

Rebuilding the swingarm is really confusing me.It has a couple of mill side play but surely this cant be right ?

Acording to the online microfiches the bushes that fits in the frame on each side have a inside bore of 19.5mm but the swingarm spindle and the inside bore of all the other components ,bearings seals ect is 17mm.

Can someone tell me whats going on here as this has me stumped.

    Cheers

Hi Dirky and welcome to the forum. I'm really unsure what the problem might be but have you compared the seingarm to that off an America? It could be that if it's a bitsa bike then someone may have bought a swingarm off an America thinking it'll be the same as a scrambler, it's a long shot but could be possible?

thanks for the replies and the welcome.

The problem is the online microfiche actually says that the sizes i have are correct, with a 2.5mm gap.

still tryin to figure it out.
