    LONDON
So I have a 2004 Triumph Daytona 600cc and a Yamaha Majesty YP180 (180cc) and when the London ULEZ was introduced I checked both of them on the Tfl ULEZ checker and was pleased they returned as exempt.

With the extension of the London ULEZ zone in October I just thought I'd do another check for the sake of it and both have now come back as NON-COMPLIANT!!!

Any Londoners in here find themselves in the same situation?

Or any Londoners with older bikes which you ride within the North & South circular road make sure you check your bikes HERE

Useful to know. But its just another way to scam money from the motorist. The greedy pigs will keep on and on till London is empty. Who want's to trade in a city no one wants to come to.

You're right Joe. I've blown a few customers out rather than pay these charges. Hypocrisy-if they don't want the vehicles and want a cleaner city, then fine. Just ban us. Taking money to allow things to continue as before looks a bit greedy, as you say. Same in Birmingham now too....

Not that I live anywhere near or wish to even visit London but I've just checked my bikes, oldest 2010, and they're all still exempt, until they move the goalposts again that is. I also checked my 1998 4.2 diesel Land Cruiser, no DPF, CAT, Adblue etc and it's NOT exempt, can't believe it! I also checked it on Birmingham's ULEZ checker and it IS exempt!! :grinning: WTF! We have a ULEZ looming here in Sheffield, as soon as the local council secure government funding, so we'll have to see where they draw the line.

Don't wish it on you. No more than a money trap and eventually every on will get billed
. And like we said the city dies a slow death with customers and businesses' moving out and then work dries up. Like Smilinjack they could have done lots more to rectify the problem years ago but sat on their arses and waited to get their dirty big hands on your wallet. Of my pedestal now.
    Joe.

It takes the pi$$ to be honest.

The roads in London are being carved up with lots of different looney schemes for cyclists or traffic free neighbourhoods enough as it is. Or social distancing which is rather blatantly in favour of just cyclists.

In central London the roads have been decimated enough in favour of cyclists as it is. The largest single group of arrogant, ignorant and disrespectful road user known to modern man.
They have cycle superhighways, loads of priority lights as well as entry to no entry roads and lanes to cycle the wrong way up one way streets.
Yet this is not enough for them and they cycle however and wherever they want with no regard for anybody else. Yet, I'm sure when something happens, it's never ever their fault. And is anything being done about this behaviour? Sweet FA, they cycle through red lights in front of Police cars without a care.

We also have the knife-edge fast food riders who for some unknown reason risk life & limb delivering somebodies chicken vindaloo. Treating each job as some sort of rally stage. In some areas with lots of outlets you often come across columns of these tw@ts flying past you not just on the right side but also on the left all highly experienced with their CBT and L-plate.
Someone should setup a website for customers to post what their dinner looks like once its been delivered by these muppets...

Well the city mayors know best or at least their advisors do as our Mayor, Mr Khan only seems to specialise in sending 'Thoughts and Prayers' to stab victims but not much else over the time he's been here. At least Bozo was entertaining with some of the stunts he got upto.

So yes as you say our city centres will have priced out their own citizens and if not replaced by tourists risk ruin.

Interestingly enough Tfl do say that if the vehicle manufacturer claims their product does meet the required standards (meaning Tfl are wrong) you just need to obtain proof and submit it.
Or you can have your vehicle independently tested and again if compliant obtain and submit a certificate of conformity. And you are allowed to fit devices/systems which reduce your emissions.

    The only Tfl approved garage/company doing this testing (for £175 a pop) claims;

"Any Motorcycle can be made to meet the Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) standard." (motorcycles only need to meet one of the emissions standard)

    Have a look HERE

People are sounding surprised. When woke, bedwetting tosspots of the likes of Khan are put in charge expect nothing but absurd bollocks for policies. When London is nothing but knife fighting arena, the slithering turd will ask for yet more money for yet another wanky inclusive, diversity initiative or carbon free blacks-only self-sustaining macrame weaving crèche.

Thought I'd stumbled into the tea room at a tory party conference reading this thread.
