Hi folks. Went to my t120v yesterday and found that the kickstart would not move. The last time I kicked it over was two weeks ago and it was fine, plenty of compression and with the plugs out the engine turned easily by hand operated kick start. How can the engine have seized by iteself in two weeks' sitting idle? Or the kickstart mechanism for that matter? Any ideas, guys? Cheers, Rich

Are you able to roll the bike forward in gear as if to bump start it but with out the ignition on, say 3rd or 4th just to get the engine moving? Try with spark plugs taken out so compression not a factor (as you already mentioned)
If you can get the engine moving, then this may free up whatever has caused it to become sticky...

Good luck RIch and do let us know if/when you resolve it.

    Hi Mr. Thunder, sir!
Just been out to it now - and it kicked over absolutely fine, plugs in and out! Weird! It wouldn't kick over on main stand yesterday but does today on side stand - something wrong/missing with kickstart mechanism which requires bike to be leaning over to the left to free off mechanism?

Could it poss be hydraulic lock? I did squirt a few teaspoons of oil down each bore when it was laid up over the last year or so

Glad you got it sorted Rich.
Not an ideal solution but a solution all the same!
Is it worth further investigation to find this gremlin, wouldn't want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere

Just depend on if it happens again.
Don't try to recreat it though by pouring oil into the bore's

I would say it is possible there is a connection but by taking out the spark plugs would have relased any hydro lock.

Perhaps it's the kickstart itself then. Will investigate further at wkend and let you know! Cheers, Rich
