    Just thought a thread to share power connection options for the Street Twin may be of help for people connecting power to accessories.

    I recently needed a switched live for a DRL/indicator project and found a trick of using the live from the horn using a piggyback spade connector. That was easy to run a wire to and meant the job was reversible. You can also get an earth from the 8mm horn mounting bolt.

    Also worth noting that the standard connectors used on indicators are the Molex and these need a Dupont type crimping tool like this;

    You can get Molex from Mouser, the delivery is a killer though and you have to buy the plastic covers (circuit plug and circuit receptacle) separately;

    I have some other project ideas and wonder if people have any other places to get power or trick and tips.

    I junked the useless underseat USB connector on the Scrambler to get a fused 12v supply for the chain oiler and could use it for anything else I wanted to connect.
    I've also wired a short fused lead with APP conector direct to the battery, primarily for battery charging but this could aslo be used as an auxilliary supply if needed.

    Yup, spliced my satnav into the underseat USB. Switched 12v feed and still have the USB if I ever need it.
