I've just bought a 2nd hand Street Twin. There is a hiss when the ignition is on. Sounds like its from the injector area. Is this normal?

My T100 59 does that aswel. Doesn't really bother me. I believe it is just the bike priming up.

How rude of me. Welcome to the Family. The inmates will be along soon and I am sure you will feel more reassured with your Steed. Think they will all be medicated now. Nursey does like to get it done early. Or they may be drooling over the pictures sent today. And you do know they will want a picture of your steed it comforts them.

Hi STAndy and welcome! As Joe said, the hiss is on the T100 too, it goes off shortly after before you turn over right?

Additional info - this hiss is there if the ignition is on. The noise doesn't stop. The ignition goes through its start up cycle with the lights flashing on the speedo but when all that has stopped there's this hiss. Sounds almost like air escaping.

Mine the same. Just the system in readiness. Same when engine killed.
Just the electrics and gadgets talking to each other. I wouldn't worry

Is the noise constant Joe? The bike has done its start up ritual and is just sitting there ignition on but still hissing.

My 2018 makes all sorts of noises, sounds like a sowing machine

Drowned most of them out by removing snorkel (grumpy growl whilst sucking in air), next springs X-pipe fitting will cancle the rest, and piss my neighbor at the same time (he is an inconsiderate dickwad) double bonus

Oh and welcome, I’ve been on here since early 2018, good bunch of drunken sexpests, my kinda folks

I had a neighbour like that in the eighties. I took him very gently by the area around his collar and ask him when he was moving. You know he never spoke to me again not even a moan. He Passed away about 10 years ago. I didn't go to his send of. But you know his wife and kids were great.

All checked at dealer today and everything ok. The constant hiss is normal. I did find out there is a recall for a clip to be fitted to wiring.

I get the feeling you are searching for faults. If it's not broken don't fix it.

Can't ask for any more. The clunk is disappointment. Bike knows it going to be parked up but would rather be racing.
