Currently I have the original silver/brushed ally handlebar clamp on my 2017 Street Twin. I want to change it for the black version, which has the Triumph logo picked out in silver. Part no. A9638138.
Before I buy one at a cost of over £50 (!) I thought I'd see if anyone here wanted to do the reverse swop. If so, maybe we can do a straight exchange.

Another option. I got my silver one powder coated satin black. No silver letters, but I got the headlight mounts and intake covers done at the same time for £60.

Thanks for the suggestion but I really want the Triumph logo to be in silver on black. I'll give it a few more days to see if anyone wants to do the swop, then splash out £50+ at the Triumph shop..bloody rip off I reckon, but then it's obviously my choice.
As far as the headlight mounts go, after 2+ years of ownership I've just about decided I don't like them. Painting or powdercoating them black would make them less obvious but I think I'm going for more traditional headlight brackets. I particularly like those made by Down & Out (in Rotherham), although they are pricey. TEC make a cheaper pair but they're not as good looking. This means I would be able to lower the speedo case a tad by using the bracket from Motone. Instructions for doing this are on Views From The Mancave (Youtube).
Also I really don't like the chrome steering head top-nut and while I've got the bars and top yoke off I will probably swop it for the brushed ally one from the Thruxton, it's a bit more classy and only £13. An unusual bargain from Triumph.
However all of that may have to go on hold because I'm currently waiting for one of my Honda 400's (RVF400 NC35..gorgeous bike if you like sports reps and aren't very tall!) to have an electrical problem sorted. The regulator blew (no surprise on an ancient Honda) and took various components with it. I replaced everything but it still stutters & struggles past 10,000rpm. So it's with an NC35 specialist and his bill is imminent. Plus my whole roof is in the process of being replaced (200 year old house..don't buy one!) and I'm off to New Zealand in March. Then there's the Malle Rally in June (google it). 100 bikes, over 6 days, from Lands End to J.O'Groats, on the Triumph. There's more (Poland) but I think I've bored everyone enough by now. This is a very expensive year!
