Hello, just read through the thread. I have one of the last "Mk1" Street Twin. I had a brembo 4 pot caliper conversion fitted. This setup has a bigger disc fitted and is powerful. Genuine trumpet fly screen just because I like it and it was cheap second hand. Heated grips, and rear grip rail (trumpet as well). Tec progressive springs. My only gripe is the lack of grip with the Phantom tyres which will be changed at earliest opportunity. For the winter I have fitted Hand guards off eBay at great cost £7:96 plus an aluminium strip from Wickes at £2:50 ish to make brackets off mirrors. Love the engine characteristics. Ian
I have been considering the same front brake solution, thanks! Are you able to share an image of the mirror/ brackets - can't visualise this. Standard mirrors are not useful for me - all I see are my elbows!
Apologies, too lazy to search hard for this - is there a dedicated Street Twin forum here? At first glance could not see one.
Hi fellow Street Twinner, not a dedicated one as far as I know. As a variant of Bonneville I think most specific posts go in there I think, or general, or builds, or the lounge!!! I haven't been told off yet!
