    Hi all,

I'm a brand new rider and a brand new street triple owner! Having had my bike about 3 months I was washing it the other day and noticed a bolt had come loose behind a piece of plastic cowling on the left-hand side. It was loose, trapped behind the plastic and rattling around. I managed to pull it out (photo below) but am seriously concerned that it might have come out of something important.

I am hoping someone can give some advice and also tell me how I can remove this piece of plastic to get behind it and see where the bolt has come from?

Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received!

    Thanks

    Matt

Hi Matt and welcome to the forum. Sorry I can't help but a Streety owner will be along soon to help I'm sure.

Saying as the bike's brand new, I'd drop into the dealer you bought it from and have a chat with them

Hi Matt, unfortunately it seems to be a pretty universal bolt so could go anywhere, the good thing is it's not got any paint on it so probably hasn't come off anything major. Look at tank retainers and any electrical retainers around that area.

It may even be a surplus bolt left over from production ?

OK thanks all for the advice - I'll take it back to the dealer and have a chat with them!

Does anyone know what the plastic bit is or is called? I want to be able to describe it to them on the phone.....

    Thanks again.
