Hey everyone! I’m new here and I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on the A2 license. I really want to get a Street Triple and is it possible to restrict one? Apparently it can be done with the dealer for £100 but lots of people are saying you can’t. Any advice would be much appreciated!
    Many thanks, Oliver

    Hi and welcome.
Yes they can be restricted, both 675 and the new 765

    Welcome aboard.

Yes it can be done aftermarket, but the bike needs to be the 95bhp version, otherwise the restriction still doesn't come down to A2 compliant. Those are like hens teeth and it's often cheaper to buy an existing A2 compliant bike.

There are a couple of kits available depending on the original power of the bike. It is no longer supplied as a part, but rather programmed via the ECU. This prevents the bike being restricted, registered as A2 and then derestricted unofficially.
