Hi, picking up my 2017 Street Scrambler tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to. It's currently fitted with a dual seat and rear rack but I much prefer the single seat with the pillion pad and/or tail rack. Anyone fancy swapping?
    Regards,
    Jeff

Really pleased with the new bike, my post above has however raised a question, are the dual seat and the standard seat interchangeable? I removed the seat and noticed the release mechanism is at the rear of the subframe (under the back of the dual seat. From looking at pics of the single seat it also has a protruding pin at the rear of the single seat, I doubt this will align with the subframe mounted mechanism??? Any help would be gratefully received before I dive in and buy a new seat.

With the standard "single" seat setup the rider and pillion seats locate separately. The rider's seat locks on with the key via a latch at the rear and the pillion seat locates on the plastic mount on top of the rear mudguard, in place of the small carrier, via two tabs/slots and an allen screw underneath the rear of the seat. Does your dual seat unlock with the key and lift off easily?

Thanks, yes the seat locks in place and lifts off easily with the key. After looking at your pics that now makes perfect sense, the mechanism has been moved to the rear of the subframe for the dual seat, the attaching bracket is there, just needs a couple of torx bolts undoing and it'll move forward to accommodate the shorter single seat. That's been really helpful.
    Thanks.
