Hello everyone, I own a Street Cup. I cleaned my bike, put it in my garage and went away for a week. On my return my exhausts looked in a poor state. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Please do not suggest how to clean them. I have been there on the Triumph Facebook Forum. My local dealer has pictures of the exhausts and will be contacting Triumph. I have already had my rear shocks and exhaust collets replaced due to rust issues. Does anyone recognise what I have on their bikes? Many thanks, (P.S. I do know how to clean them).
You've still got a good reflection for what I can see....is that a guy having a pee? I really must get decent glasses
Welcome to the forum! There are some threads on the forum about quality issues with Triumph particularly related to exhausts and wheels. You can use the search tool to track them down and always look at the very bottom of the page for related discussions. You will also find some alternative cleaning solutions and rust preventative discussions where the members find something that just works better than what most of us use. Good luck resolving this issue with Triumph.
Welcome Shallot. Hope you get your exhaust sorted under warranty. Pop along to our annual picnic, blather-fest and JD/Bushmills tasting event in July and show us the bike. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/grand-meet-up-2018-wales.12452/
I am no expert (as DD will attest) but that looks like a problem with the chroming process and underlying copper/nickel? Hard to tell with the photo resolution. Are both headers affected?
