Had an interesting day out today at Elvington race track (runway) near York where a straighliners meet was being held. This is basically where you go as fast as you can both ways over a measured mile. Was helping out a pal Paul Sinclair try to break his own record for the fastest motorcycle sidecar hearse. At the end of the day he had taken the record to just under 125mph with his Hyabusa powered creation. Amazing seeing some of the solo turbo Hyabusa's hitting nearly 240MPH! Some of the best wheelie boys were there many doing a 1 mile wheelie at around 150MPH.
No don't think he trusted me, anyway my bulk on the bike it's only going to go slower  two small women were about the fastest across the day, both over 230mph Made me smile as we towed the hearse back down the motorway virtually every other bike that passed us crossed themselves as they went by.
Looks a good day, anything that can burn that much fuel in such a short space of time sounds good to me!
Just one  he did the run about 8 times and they took the average of the two fastest either way up the track.
