Hi Finally got the Triton running. Electronic ignition best thing I have ever bought for my bikes and now ride this whenever the sun is out with confidence. An issue I now have is when riding I get a lot of rattle noise from the top of the engine under the tank. Have realised it is the control cables and other wiring parts rattling on the underneath of the aluminium tank. Have tried to research a material which I can easily apply to the underside of the tank which will stop the rattling and be heat resistant. Seen several products, but unsure if they would be suitable. Wondered if anyone on the forum had any ideas.
You could try something like this along with cable ties. /www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Foil-Self-adhesive-Pad-Heating-Bed-Sticker-Hot-Plate-Heat-Insulation-Cotton/273362017086?hash=item3fa5a55b3e:m:m7_KIdQRg0LKRivEs3PFLhQ
Thanks for that. Might be a tad thick. Hadn't seen this product, but cheap enough for a try. Have tie-wrapped what I can, but not much space when tank in place so I think it is the control cables resting on the underside of tank.
This is the first thing that came to mind, to me, after reading this. Since space is at a premium under the tank, maybe you could just use this to wrap the cables, instead of trying to cover the tank bottom.
The throttle cables on my Triton touch the tank but don’t seem to make a noise the only problem I had with a rattle was the tank touching the frame due to a slipped tank rubber
Check the kitchen...... there will likely be silicone rubber pan handles or cookware that can ‘go missing’.
