    My heavy duty gloves are pretty good and I want to replace them at some point later in the year with some of those ones that are heated and powered by a battery...

    For now though how do you lot stop your gloves from smelling so bad..I've washed mine in lots of different things but after a short time they get stinky again and make my hands stinky and sticky so I have to wash my hands all the time...

    My sense of smell is so corrupted from breathing industrial chemicals, I really don't notice. I actually went out to the garage and sniffed o_O the two pairs I generally use, Leather Alpinestars and a textile Johnny Rocket. I sweat profusely in this heat, but the Alpinestars smells like... well leather. The textile, is no worst. I do treat the leather to a bit of mink oil from time to time. Good water repellent and it keeps them soft. I have never washed them.

    Whilst the wife is away in Scotland I think I shall bang em in the washing machine a couple of times and then wash them in Nik wax and see what happens...

    I had hoped you guys might have a trick or two up your sleeve as to cleaning them and smell removal...

    Used to suffer the same problem but once I started using plastic bags for dog poop instead of bare hands the problem evaporated...............

    I've found that banging them in the washing machine makes them more smelly..............

    It's easy, duck. I don't lift them up to my nose and take a big whiff. :p

    But seriously, a dash of baby powder inside now and then helps somewhat.

    Or wash your hands :blush:
    Can’t say I’ve ever noticed my gloves getting stinky. Mine just turn my hands black after a ride. :confused:
    It’s probably just the make of glove, what are they?

    If your hands are really that much of a sweaty smelling pair, then maybe wear easily washed thinner inner gloves, :poop:

    Napisan? Gets rid of some pretty unpleasant odours....

    In case you're not familiar with it, it's for washing poo stains out of reusable nappies as well as other things.....

    I also went to the garage to smell the inside of my gloves after @Duckadiledundee brought this up, no odors.

    My fave pair of gloves are getting on for 30yrs old, and still smell of leather. I soak them in neatsfoot oil a couple times a year, and it keeps them supple and water resistant.

    They don't smell of anything but leather. And I sweat like a pig!

    Or possibly Cattle :cool::D

    ( Neatsfoot oil is a yellow oil rendered and purified from the shin bones and feet (but not the hooves) of cattle. "Neat" in the oil's name comes from an Old English word for cattle. Neatsfoot oil is used as a conditioning, softening and preservative agent for leather. ) FTFY Duck :rolleyes::rolleyes:
