With all the salt and shite on the roads my bike developed a throttle fault, classic sticky throttle! First time to remove the throttle bodies to get at the business end of the cables. This was after checking the throttle end and squirting oil and re-greasing cable guides, still no joy.
I was getting a creaking sound from the throttle bodies which turned out to be the problem. After removing the cables I could open the throttle flaps manually and work oil and grease on spindles etc till it worked itself free! Job done, a well fiddly job but all good experience.
Serves me right for venturing out, but had no choice as Mrs had the car and things got to be done!
