stator keeps getting fried

    hiya everyone I have a 2005 triumph Daytona 955i and was just wondering why is it keep fryng the stator after a few mile ??? thanks lee

    Hi Lee and welcome.
    This is usually caused by the reg/rec being faulty and taking out the stator as it dies. :( Probably blown the main 30amp fuse as well. :oops:
    I used Electrexworld parts as replacements, done by a dealer for around £350, four years ago on my '02 Daytona CE (which has now gone to a new home). Genuine Triumph parts alone were going to cost well north of £400 if I remember correctly, so get your replacements elsewhere. :eek: You can check Triumph prices on the World of Triumph website, parts section, just make sure you are sitting down!!!! :eek::eek:

    hi cheers mate ive had two stators in within about 70/100 mile :( cant remember were the first one was from that was like a lump o coal when I took that one out and this recent one was from ramstarter (Canada ) wich by the way cost nearly £100 for dell. nd that one only lasted about 20 mile or so am freekin livid :/ its had a brand new R/R too :/ the fuses all seem to be fine al plod on :( ta much
