Hi, I’m looking for help with starter motor problems on my GT Sprint 1050 ABS 2014 reg. I have problems starting the bike when the engine is hot. I have been told this is a common problem with this model as the starter motor is positioned too close to the engine and over heats. I have checked battery health and this is fine, I have had the bushes changed in the starter motor and this helped, but only for a couple of months (200 miles max) The bike is very low mileage (9000) for a bike that is seven years old. It has been serviced every year. I’m being quoted £531 + fitting for a new one. Anyone got any ideas what I should do next?
