Hi All I've heard rumours of the starter idler boss sometimes breaking on the earlier Hinckley Bonnies and causing expensive crankcase damage has anyone else heard of this? I have seen that TTP do a reinforcement kit for it but I don't know if it's worth fitting as so far I've had a couple of people say I should get rid of the bike in case it happens but then others including people from 2 local bike shops say they've never heard of it. I'm unsure what to do now as I don't have limitless spare cash to pay out for unnecessary bits and nor do I have much time to work on the bike when I could be riding it My bike is a 2012 EFI Bonneville.
Somewhere in the back of my head a little voice says the problem was largely confined to the 790 models and not later 865s with carbs or efi.
